One of the highlights of the 2011 D23 Expo was a chance to find out more about the next release from Pixar scheduled for June 2012, the long-awaited 'Brave'.

The first arena presentation of D23 2011 was the Disney Legends Ceremony. The Disney Legends Awards was established in 1987. Recipients of this honour are chosen by a committee chaired by the late Roy E Disney.

This year's ceremony started with a video message from Bob Iger then host Tom Bergerson took to the stage.
